My Maryland Shrimp Salad

|3/4 lb||shrimp (30-40 count|
|1/4 c||cup mayonnaise ( i use hellmans)|
|4 tsp||diced celery|
|1 Tbsp||green onion, green parts only, diced|
|3/4 tsp||old bay seasoning|
|1 pinch||celery seed|
|1/8 tsp||garlic powder|
|1/2 tsp||lemon juice|

Being raised in Maryland my parents always used old bay seasoning on crabs & shrimp..........so why not in the shrimp salad.
Heat 1-2 cups of water to a boil over a steamer basket. Add the shrimp and steam until just cooked -- 4 minutes should do it. Cool shrimp.
and de-vein the shrimp and slice lengthwise (or leave them whole)
Combine the shrimp and the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Chill for an hour or up to 24 hours. Serve in a bowl, on white bread with lettuce and tomato. We like ours on mini bagels.
