Ingredients

2 pkg	strawberry gelatin (3 ou)
2 pkg	frozen sliced strawberries, thawed (10 ou)
16 oz	can crushed pineapple, drained
3	bananas, mashed
1 c	pecans, chopped
1 1/2 - 2	8 ou containers of sour cream

Directions

Dissolve gelatin in 1 cup boiling water. Add next 4 ingredients and mix well. Put 1/2 mixture in a 9 X 13 inch pan. Let stand until very firm. (Can be chilled to speed process.) Spread with sour cream. Pour on remaining mixture and spread evenly. Chill until set.

Just curious - you let 1/2 the mixture stand until firm. Won't the other half also get firm while waiting for the first half to set? Sometimes I'm a little slow understanding these recipes, sorry.
