This recipe was my mother's. I actually call it my interchangeable jello recipe because I found not only can I use the original lime jello and canned pears, but I've also made it using peach jello and canned peaches, strawberry jello and frozen strawberries in syrup, and raspberry jello and frozen raspberries in syrup. I don't use a mold. I just pour it into a clear plastic bowl with a cover that I can store in the refrigerator. I also like nuts in my jello and always add some chopped walnuts to it.
