I took this to a Christmas party of 40 people last night and they loved it and wanted the recipe. You can adjust the ingredients based on your personal taste. The measurements on the ingredients are not exact. I'm one of those cooks that doesn't always measure things out! Thanks to the way I learned to cook by my beautiful mother.

Ingredients For 7 layered salad

  • 1 lg
    head of iceberg lettuce
  • 1 bunch
    green onions
  • 1 md
    green bell pepper
  • 8 oz
    frozen green peas
  • 1/2 jar
    hellman's mayonaise
  • 4-8 oz
    precooked crumbled bacon
  • 4-8 oz
    parmesan cheese (grated)

How To Make 7 layered salad

  • 1
Start with a 9 x 12 glass cake pan or your favorite dish container, but it needs to be fairly large. I use frozen peas, they will thaw by the time you serve the salad and will help keep it cold longer.

Begin by layering pieces of iceberg lettuce. Layer each ingredient one on top of the other. I layer all the veggies except the peas. Next I spoon a layer the mayo with bacon pieces and peas on top. If you have enough ingredients to do a second layer that's great.
