This is a recipe that came from a friend that got it from her great grandmother. Because of that we have had to tweak the ingredients. It is something that my kids call for every Thanksgiving and Christmas over and over and you will too. It is amazing and is much better than regular Cranberry Salad.
Grind the cranberries and combine with the sugar. Let them sit in your fridge overnight. Drain the next day. Drain very well to get any excess off but leaving the sweet on the cranberries. Take the grapes, wash well and de-seed them, and split in half. I use around 30-50, depending on size of grapes. Enough to make the salad pretty ( a good combination with the cranberries, don't overdo it). You can have this done the night before as well so all you have to do the next morning is whip the cream. Fold in your grapes with the cranberries and nuts. Set aside. The last step is to whip your whipping cream and add the sugar and vanilla. Fold in the whipping cream gently. It will turn to a nice pink cranberry color. Refrigerate until ready to eat.
