You can also add dry cool whip and pistachio pudding to this recipe (so I have been told...I haven't tried it!).

Ingredients For five-cup fruit salad/dessert

  • 1 c
    marshmallows (although i add extra)
  • 1 c
    sour cream, reg, lite, or low fat (16 oz container)
  • 1 c
    mandarin oranges (2 small cans or 1 large can), drained
  • 1 c
    pineapple, crushed or chunks (1 can), drained
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 1 jar
    maraschino cherries

How To Make five-cup fruit salad/dessert

    Drain the pineapple and oranges well (save the juice for later...make a drink!).

    Mix all ingredients in bowl and serve.

    note: I omit the coconut because my family doesn't like it. And sometimes I'll substitute or add fruit cocktail.
