Us people with Crohn's have to find ways so that we can enjoy things we usually can't have (strawberries with seeds) & figure a way to have it. This is my take on strawberry pretzel salad without the seeds! Enjoy!

Ingredients For crohn's safe strawberry pretzel salad

  • 2 c
    pretzels, crushed
  • 2 stick
    butter, melted
  • 3 Tbsp
    + 1 cup(s) sugar, divided
  • 1 - 8 oz pkg
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 - 8 oz pkg
    cool whip free
  • 1 - 6 oz pkg
    strawberry jell-o
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 4 lg jar
    strawberry jelly/jam, seedless
  • GARNISH:
  • cool whip free

How To Make crohn's safe strawberry pretzel salad

    Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

    Mix crushed pretzels, butter & 3 tbsp sugar together & press into a 9" x 13" pan. Bake for 8 - 10 minutes. Let cool.

    Mix cheese & 1 cup sugar. Fold 2 cups cool whip into cheese mixture & spread over cooled pretzel crust. Dissolve strawberry gelatin in boiling water & add all jars of seedless jelly; mix well to combine. Refrigerate until syrupy, about 1/2 hour, then pour over the cheese layer & refrigerate until firm. Cut into squares & garnish with additional cool whip free. Enjoy!
