This is a great recipe. I had this recipe at one of my favorite restaurants in Michigan-"Sullivan's " I asked the chef if I could have his recipe for this salad and he generously gave it to me- This recipe is in my third cookbook which is still available at a good price. Ingredients

4 c
turkey or chicken, cut into bite size pieces
1 1.3 c
diced celery
10 oz
jar watermelon candied pickles cut into fourths
2 Tbsp
chopped onion
1 c
mayonnaise
1 tsp
salt
1 pinch
curry powder
1 pinch
pepper
1 1/3 c
chow mein noodles, or slivered almonds
6 medium
lettuce leaves or more
3-4 small
bell pepper rings

Directions Step-By-Step

Place turkey, celery, pickles and onion in a large bowl. In another bowl combine the mayonnaise, salt,curry and pepper.
Mix well and pour over turkey mixture, tossing lightly.
Chill no longer that 12 hours. Just before serving, place lettuce leaf on plate, gently stir in chow mien noodles , if using,to turkey salad and put a mound of salad on lettuce , sprinkle some more noodles or slivered almonds on top if desired. Place 3 or 4 Bell pepper rings around salad.
