Ingredients

1 small onion, finely chopped
1 Tbs. butter
2 C. stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 lb. cheese, grated
1 egg, beaten

Step-By-Step

1Cook onion in butter until tender. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and sugar, and heat. Add cheese and cook until melted, stirring constantly. Add egg slowly, stirring constantly and cook 1 minute longer. Serve on buttered toast.
