Ingredients For old fashioned cornbread

  • Dry Ingredients:
  • 1 C. yellow cornmeal
  • 3/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • Wet Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 C. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 Tbs. butter, melted

How To Make old fashioned cornbread

  • 1
    Mix dry ingredients, then mix wet ingredients. Combine wet and dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into a 9x9-inch casserole dish or an iron skillet. Bake for 25 minutes at 425 degrees.
