Cook Time:

No chemicals, no colors, no addatives... Just clean!

8 c
6 c
white distilled vinegar
1 c
baking soda

Directions Step-By-Step

In a large stock pot add baking soda. Then add water, stir to disolve baking soda. "Slowly" add vinegar, very slowly!
The baking soda and vinegar will bubble up ALOT.
once your done adding the vinegar, stir till the soda is dissolved.
Transfer to a gallon jar or I use an old costco downy jug, this recipe fills it perfectly! I use about 1/4 cup per load in my downy ball, it works amazingly well.
You can add essential oils if you like to add scents. Just make sure if you add the oils to shake before each use!
Note- I use the old costco downy jug, so mine always has just a little bit of a downy scent!

What you are making is very soft water. Similar to the rain water my mother used to use when I was a kid. You can add a little Borax to it and have a great laundry detergent. I have used both to wash and rinse my clothes for decades. I have allergies to most commercial soaps and I use Baking Soda to wash my body which also works very well. Great idea to share Candy. Thank you.
