TEACHERS I knew from 1962 to the present
"Thank a teacher" AND I realized I have known so many great teachers in my lifetime.
TODAY is the birthday of one of them, and her name is Aunt Mildred. She turned 97 years today, and I am going down-island to take her a small gift and a card. She is very special to my husband, to me, and to many others. Read the attached article if you can. Many thanks to Mildred!

RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
3Aunt Mildred and my mother-in-law, Priscilla, were college room-mates at Bridgewater College. They each came to teach at Menemsha School when they were beginning their teaching careers. They lived in a boarding house, The Homestead, as it is known on D.H.'s Hill, near Menemsha. The article is written by a young boy, whose parents now own that house! We loved reading about Aunt Mildred, and I hope you can also read this article. If not, send me a message and I will somehow send a copy to you!
