Directions
Choose an ornament you would love to get and wrap or put inside a festive bag for the exchange.Gather friends and family and share in a Right Family Christmas by inviting everyone to bring a wrapped Christmas ornament. You can put a price on the gift if you want such as $2 to $5 for each ornament. I have done this every year at my Cookie Exchange parties and it is always a big hit with everyone.
Have everyone get in a circle with their wrapped gift in hand. Now, it's time to read the story.Version 1 ----Read slowly because it gets confusing if you don't. lol
A Right Family Christmas
Let me introduce you to the right family.
Mr. Right, Mrs. Right, Sammy Right, Susie Right & little Billy Right. Sammy Right has been away in the army and made it home for Christmas. The Right household was decorated with the left over greenery from the tree Mr. Right brought home from Uncle Lefty’s tree lot. Susie Right & Billy Right were so excited because the doorbell rang & there stood Uncle Lefty and Aunt Leftonia. Uncle Lefty was loaded down with just the right gifts for everyone. Aunt Leftonia had baked all the right cookies and pies.
Mrs. Right called everyone for dinner. Food was passed to the left and right. Everyone ate heartily & there was not much left. They all settled back to listen to Sammy Right tell tales of his adventures in the army. It brought back memories to Uncle Lefty of marching in the army himself. He could hear his old drill Sergeant Joe Righty calling out “Left, Left, Left, Right, Left.” Mrs. Right woke Uncle Lefty from his daydreams when she called everyone to go to the Right family Christmas tree.
Everyone settled around the left side of the tree and Mr. Right handed out all the gifts to the right people. Only one gift was left and when Mr. Right opened it up the message was to Have a Right Merry Christmas!!!!!Version 2 ---
[This one my friend Sonie made for me because my Wedding was right around the time we did this. It is too cute.]
Another Right Family Christmas
It seems like just yesterday since we visited the Right family for Christmas. How time flies!!! Little Susie Right is not so little anymore. Susie Right is all grown up and is planning her wedding. She is so glad she has found ‘Mr. Right’ to spend what’s left of her life with him. Susie right had to find just the right time to introduce her new beau to her father, Mr. Right. Susie Right took a deep breath and lead her special man, Lefty Leftowich into the den to meet the Right family where they were gathered to celebrate a good old-fashioned Right family Christmas. Everyone was there, Mr. Right, Mrs. Right, Sammy Right & little Billy Right. Of course we can’t forget Uncle Lefty and Aunt Leftonia!
The Right family home was decorated in it’s best Christmas finery. Imagine Uncle Lefty’s delight to discover his favorite niece had chosen a ‘Lefty’ to be her lifelong mate! Uncle Lefty was sure she had made the right choice. Susie Right and Lefty Leftowich made their introductions and happily settled down to make all the right plans for their upcoming wedding. What a happy time the entire Right family was having. Mr. Right was having visions of his hard earned money flying out the door
into the hands of everyone he would have to pay for this wedding. Mrs. Right had an endless smile on her face as she thought of the inevitable pitter-patter of little feet from the Leftowich grandchildren that was sure to come along. What a wonderful Christmas the Right family was having. What more was left for anyone to ask for.Miss Tibby & I send kisses and hugs your way and wish you a very Merry Christmas and hope you have lots of fun with "A Right Family Christmas" and that it brings some laughter and holiday cheer into your home!

Kim, Oh, I am so excited this came at just the RIGHT time ! RIGHT now all that is LEFT is to plan my annual Christmas Party and to invite all the RIGHT people and make sure no one is LEFT out. My brother, a LEFTY, will love this game and I am RIGHT sure my sister will also. Seriously, I love games and we always do a white elephant Christmas party with our Sunday School class. I also do a Christmas ornament exchange with my family. I have never done a cookie exchange but this game inspires me to try it this year ! My Wedding Anniversary is also in Dec. December 18th to be exact, we will celebrate our 21st year of marriage this year ! Hard to believe, I married my soul mate and the man of my dreams ! Anyway, thanks again for posting this ! You are an amazing lady Kim and RIGHTLY so, you are a JAP sister after all !!!!

This is funny to see this Here.
My Sister did this Sorta thing to our Family one year with Gifts.
She had Gotten Gifts @ a 2nd hand thrift shop. Cheap, and then had Numbers on the Wraped Gifts, She had a bunch of Numbers in a grab Bag. Gifts were handed out. If you got a number you passed it past that many hands. if you got "you win", you got to keep that gift. Whether you wanted it or Not. Its funny too because many want or don't want that gift and No way to Keep it, or get rid of it, till you get the "You win" out of the grab Bag.

Freda, we play a game very similar to that too. Except you pick a number and then there is a pile of wrapped gifts on the floor. Some are really nice and others are gag gifts. Well, first person goes and after that the person has a choice to take what that person has (no matter how much they want to keep it) or pick from the gifts.
This past year we laughed so hard because our nephews participate too and usually pick from a smaller section of gifts just for kids but due to the excitement they were taking gifts from the adults. lol
Noah my youngest nephew decided he wanted this "pink bag" my Aunt Linda had and he was determined to have it. He didn't even know what was in the bag he just wanted it. ROFL....We laughed so hard we almost peed our pants. I think they saw how funny it was so the other two boys got in on the fun by taking gifts from other people too. All in all, these games add the humor and family time that is so needed today.

LOL! thanks! WE do play tip the table at Yule. No one near me has small kids, my kids are grown and with the exception of my daughter everyone is out of state. My sister has 3 kids none of which ever plan on kids, My daughter is getting married next year so no kids for awhile as she is in school to be a vet. So at the moment with the exception of Eric's side we have no little ones around. And each family has their own traditions. Eric's side meet on Xmas eve. Terra Covers Christmas for us and her hubby's family. I do Thanksgiving and Yule. So far his family wasn't made it. Last year we were 4 1/2 hours away. this year we are 2 hours and located between my daughter and Eric's family. My favorite sister lives near Eric's parents. Mine are no longer with us.
