Jackie's Story

I've been using this for a while now and am so excited about it. My skin has never been so soft. No more expensive lotions etc. This is the best so far. I hope you like it too.
*Please note that I have revised the original recipe because I had mistakenly put the wrong amount of olive oil. This is the correct recipe now. Sorry if you made the original. Just add 2 more tablespoons of the oil and it will be just fine.*

Ingredients

1 c
brown sugar
1 c
white granulated sugar
1/4 c
extra virgin olive oil
2 tsp
pure vanilla extract

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In a medium sized bowl combine the two sugars. Add the olive oil and stir together. Add the vanilla to the sugars and oil, stirring to combine well.
2
Divide into smaller containers that will be safe to bring into the shower-not glass-and with a lid to keep the water out.
3
To use, put a small amount-approximately a teaspoon for the face and more for larger areas of the body, into your hands and simply rub into skin until sugars dissolve. Do this while you are in the shower. Rinse off the excess granules. Be careful as the oil can make the floor slippery. You will have such nice soft skin when you dry off!

You can replace the sugars in this mixture with "used" coffee grinds...thats right, you heard me...and the caffeine is a bonus for morning facials :)

Hi Jackie, I have to apologize for not getting back to you, I was having problems with my pc, I couldn't get my text size to change to normal, everything was teeny-tiny, so much so you needed a micro-scope to see anything...anyway, I typed a letter to the kitchen crew here, as it was affecting just a pinch site only....they figured out what was wrong, and I just now got to come back on here...(I was having withdrawal symptoms...ha ha..)...

Anyway, to answer your question...I really love to paint, and I paint mostly landscapes, old barns, cabins, and I use acrylics...I am trying to do wild animals, and flowers, haven't got them quite mastered yet, but I have painted so many paintings, since I started the later part of 2008, I am self-taught, and love painting...I pick up a brush, and don't want to quit...lol....I have sold quite a few paintings as well...and am planning on doing a showing this summer...(hope it goes over well)...I have some pieces of my works up in a gift shop at Priest Lake, and a couple hanging in my daughter's place of business as well, (she is a photographer and also a Beautician, and her shop is small, but fixed up nicely, and displays her work as well...The paintings that I have sold, generated more sales for me, (word of mouth travels)...I also paint on rocks and old wood, but mostly on canvas, and canvas boards, and masonite...Anyway...I just recently sold a couple more, and one of my neighbors, has commissioned me to paint something for his place also...so I guess my paintings must be okay...(I am my own worst critic)...

And good for you Jackie, you are selling your paintings, what kind of pictures?...And don't sell yourself short, Jackie, if you are selling your work, then they must be pretty darn good..and now you want to sell everything in the house....lol, you are too funny Jackie.......I really wish I could figure out how to send out some pictures of my current paintings, there's another problem for me, I have a new camera, and the shots I have taken for my records of what I have painted, have gone somewhere in my computer, and I don't know where??????? I am so frustrated with this set-up...I am going to have to take it somewhere and have someone tell me how to find and send the pictures out, that way you could see what I have painted so far....

Catcha later Jackie, have a great evening, Loretta...hugs
