Blessings Diane, use a mesh colander and it will pass very slowly. I usually put it over a bowl and secure it so I an walk away while each addition slowly seeps down into the bowl.

Greetings Stormy! I'm interested in making this healing salve as I just came into some good, locally produced honey. One question: how do you strain the mixture after it has infused for the 9 days? I don't know if I have anything on hand that would allow the honey to pass through, but not the comfrey bits. Thanks!

Bright Holiday Blessings!
