Ingredients For meat and mac skillet

  • 1 C. Elbow Macaroni
  • 2 C. Ground Meat Mix* (frozen)
  • 1/4 C. Water
  • 8 3/4 oz. Can Whole kernel corn (drained)
  • 2 Tbsp. Snipped parsley
  • 1 tsp. Chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 tsp. Garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp. Pepper
  • 8 oz. Pkg. cream cheese (softened)
  • 3/4 C. Milk
  • 2 med. size tomatoes
  • 2 Slices American cheese (halved diagonally)

How To Make meat and mac skillet

    In a saucepan, cook macaroni in a large amount of boiling salted water for about 10 minutes, or just until tender. Drain in a 1 quart strainer and set aside. In a skillet, combine frozen Ground Meat Mix*, and 1/4 cup of water. Cover and cook over low heat for 15 minutes; break up meat with a fork. Cover; cook 5 minutes more. Add drained corn, parsley, chili powder, salt, garlic salt, cumin, and pepper to meat mixture. Mix well. Stir in cream cheese and milk. Stir in macaroni; heat through. Cut tomatoes into wedges. Arrange tomato wedges and cheese triangles atop meat mixture. Cover skillet and heat over low heat for 8 / 10 minutes or just until cheese is melted and tomatoes are heated through. *Ground Meat Mix recipe located in this program
