1chop onions, and peppers. add to heavy pot with a few TBS of olive oil. Saute until golden and soft. add seasonings and stir around to coat vegies and saute a few minutes. Don't burn!!
2add ground turkey. Saute and stir until turkey is brown and all mixed with the onions, peppers and seasonings. Add salt and pepper flakes to taste.
3add beans and mix adding 2-1 lb cans of crushed or chopped tomatoes. cover and cook over a low to med flame for several hours until thickened and liquid is reduced to chili consistency. Serves 8-10 depending on serving size
4Serve hot in bowls with shredded cheddar or jack cheese and sour cream on top. Can use as a dip for stone ground tortilla chips. Can crush chips into bowl for added texture. Good on a cold day for lunch, supper or an afternoon snack. Good for a crowd and party with chips on the side!! Enjoy with a salad on the side.
