Plimouth Rock Turkey Burgers

My mothers family was originally from massachusetts and reportedly came over on the mayflower.
This recipe is a nod to my long ago relatives who landed in Plimoth Ma.

Stove Top

Ingredients

1 Tbsp
butter
1 small
onion, finely chopped
1 medium
celery rib, finely chopped
1 /3 c
chicken broth
3/4 c
herb stuffing mix
1/2 tsp
poultry seasoning
1/4 tsp
pepper
1 1/2 lb
ground turkey
3/4 tsp
salt
six
onion rolls

OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS

cranberry sauce
mayonnaise
mustard
lettuce and tomato

Directions Step-By-Step

In a small skillet, heat butter, add the onion and celery and cook over medium heat, until softened. about four minutes. Add broth and bring to a boil.
Remove from heatt and stir in stuffing mix, salt, poultry seasoning and pepper. Let cool completely.

In a large bowl combine ground turkey with stuffing mixture. Form into six burgers, about one inch thick.

Grill, turning once until ligtly browned on both sides, about four minutes. Continue grilling, turning once, until burgers are cooked throug. about twelve minutes.
Serve on rolls with whatever condiments you like.
