A recipe from Thanksgiving day leftovers. I try not to waste anything, so this is a different sandwich I came up with using cranberry sauce, apple sauce, turkey, gravy & even leftover dinner rolls can be used to make sliders.

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
Oh what a good way to enjoy your holiday leftovers. I like whole berry cranberry sauce, so I used that when making this sandwich. But, the jelly would work too. Can't wait to make these again!


3 c
shredded leftover cooked turkey (chicken or pork)
1 large
sliced onion
1 clove
garlic minced
1/3 c
cranberry sauce
1/3 c
chunky applesauce (cinnamon works well)
1/4 c
turkey gravy (chicken or pork)
1/2 c
bbq sauce
4 Tbsp
3 Tbsp
apple cider vinegar
1/2 tsp
chili powder
1/4 tsp
crusty rolls (or 6-8 small slider rolls)

Directions Step-By-Step

In saucepan on med-high cook sliced onion in butter, salt. Cook until slightly browned, add garlic and cook for another min.
Combine and stir rest of ingredients (except turkey & rolls). Turn heat to med-low, stirring and cooking for 3-5 min.

Stir in turkey, cover and continue warming for another five minutes, or until warmed through.

Serve on rolls. Goes great with a apple coleslaw, on side or top of shredded turkey.
