I absolutely love this casserole and if you need something to make with turkey leftovers this is your dish! We always have it at holiday dinners and it always makes me think of my dad. When my parents divorced, I lived with my dad. He and I learned to cook together and he always made this dish for potlucks that we had to bring a dish to in sports, 4H, FFA, etc. When we moved to Germany with the Army, I called my dad and got the recipe because I needed a little taste of home.
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or PAM a large casserole pan.
In a small sauce pan melt butter, add flour, stir until dissolved, add salt, milk and cream cheese, stir until thick and bubbly on med/low heat.
In casserole dish toss broccoli, onions and turkey. Pour over sauce and lightly mix. Top with cheddar cheese, then top with bread crumbs and spray lightly over the top of bread crumbs a thin layer of PAM so they crisp up.
