Notes from the Test Kitchen:
The herbs and seasoning in the breading of this scallop recipe add so much flavor to this simple recipe. The lemon pepper and lemon juice flavors are prominent and pair fabulously with the scallops. Quick, easy and very impressive!

Ingredients

1/2 c
flour
2 tsp
seasoning salt
1/2 tsp
oregano
1/2 tsp
thyme
2 Tbsp
lemon pepper
16
sea scallops
2 Tbsp
olive oil
4 Tbsp
chopped fresh parsley
4 tsp
lemon juice

Directions Step-By-Step

1
In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt, oregano, thyme and lemon pepper.
2
Roll the scallops in the flour mixture until lightly coated on all sides.
3
Heat olive oil in a skillet or frying pan over a high heat. Add 4 scallops to the pan and sear on all sides (about 2 minutes for each side). Remove scallops from pan and place on a plate in the oven to keep warm until ready to serve. Repeat until all the scallops have been seared.
4
Sprinkle the scallops with the lemon juice and chopped parsley and serve.
