damn tasty honey-garlic shrimp w/ udon noodles

The local grocery had raw shrimp on sale and I couldn't help myself. I bought 4 bags...lol. I also bought a couple packages of Udon noodles and several bags of frozen broccoli. When I got home, I went through the cabinets and decided what to make. After a couple of tests, this is the recipe I came up with and ...WOW!! I, along w/ everyone else were super impressed.

Ingredients For damn tasty honey-garlic shrimp w/ udon noodles

  • 1/3 c
    honey
  • 1/3 c
    light soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger
  • 1 lb
    medium sized raw shrimp, peeled, deveined
  • 3-4 tsp
    sesame oil
  • 2
    green onions, chopped
  • 8 oz
    frozen broccoli florets
  • 1
    7.1 oz package of udon noodles, ( asian style stir fry noodles usually found in the asian food aisle.)

How To Make damn tasty honey-garlic shrimp w/ udon noodles

    In large bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic and ginger. Pour into a large zip-lock style bag. Place shrimp in bag and close.Place in refrigerator for 1 hr to meld flavors. You can cook this right away if you're in a hurry but it taste better if it's been marinated for awhile because it gives it time for the shrimp to soak in the flavors better.

    Cook Udon noodles as directed and put aside. In large wok or skillet pour 2 tsp sesame oil in to skillet and heat on high. Add broccoli and stir fry quickly for 1-2 minutes.

    Remove broccoli from pan. Heat remaining sesame oil in pan. Add shrimp and marinade. Cook, stirring until no longer pink. Place broccoli and Udon noodles in skillet w/ shrimp. Stir fry until heated through. Sprinkle w/ green onions and wait for the explosion of taste un your mouth!!
