Ingredients For bahamian skillet jerk shrimp

  • 1/4 c
    light rum
  • 1/4 c
    chopped tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    red onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp
    garlic, roughly chopped
  • 2 tsp
    serrano chili pepper, finely diced
  • 1 Tbsp
    green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tsp
    your favorite jamaican jerk spice
  • 1 Tbsp
    fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 12
    jumbo raw shrimp, peeled, deveined, tails on
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 8
    fresh thyme sprigs

How To Make bahamian skillet jerk shrimp

    Preheat oven to 500ºF.
  • 2
    Place rum, all ingredients up to cilantro in a cast iron skillet. then add the shrimp.

    Pour the melted butter over the top of the shrimp and top with thyme sprigs.

    Place cast iron skillet of shrimp on the middle rack of the oven. Bake 5 - 7 minutes or until shrimp is done. Remove shrimp from oven and serve at once.
