olive oil, extra virgin, for brushing
tomato sauce, your favorite (i make my own)
cheese, your choice (i’m using mozzarella, provolone, and cheddar)
toppings, your choice (pepperoni, sausage, ham, veggies)
Gather your ingredients.
Place a rack in the bottom position, and preheat the oven to 400f (205c).
Place a rack inside of a rimmed baking sheet.
Brush the flour tortillas with olive oil on both sides.
Place into the preheated oven for 6 minutes.
Chef’s Tip: They should begin to brown, but not be cracker crispy.
Reduce the heat on the oven to 325f (165c).
Lay one of the tortillas on a clean work surface, and add a bit of tomato sauce.
Add some protein, (I’m using crumbled Italian sausage).
Add some cheese (I’m using provolone).
Add another flour tortilla, and add some tomato sauce.
Add a protein, and some cheese (I like to vary the cheeses).
Chef's Note: Repeat for the last layer.
Add the top flour tortilla, brush on some tomato sauce, and top with cheese.
Pop into the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until the cheese is nice and bubbly.
Chef’s Tip: I put the pizza under the broiler for a few minutes, just to brown up the top.
Carefully cut into wedge-shape slices, and serve while still nice and warm. Enjoy.
Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
