    water
  • 1/2 c
    loose leaf black tea
  • 1/3 c
    kosher salt
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    molasses
  • 1
    onion thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp
    whole coriander seeds
  • 1 Tbsp
    whole black peppercorns
  • 1 tsp
    allspice
  • 10
    whole cloves
  • 2
    whole star anise
  • 8
    cloves garlic smashed flat with back of knife
  • 10
    spring thyme
  • 5
    springs rosemary
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 4 c
    ice
  • 8 (10) oz
    bone in pork chops

How To Make sweet tea brine pork chops

    In a large pot over medium high heat,combine water,tea,salt,molasses,sugar,peppercorns,allspice,clove,onion,coriander,star anise,garlic,thyme,rosemary,and bay leaves.Bring to boil. remove from heat.transfer to sealable container.Add ice and let cool to room temp.

    strain. Add pork chops,seal and refrigerate for 24 hours. remove the pork chops from the brine. rinse and pat dry with paper towels.

    place the pork chops on the prepared grill an d cook until an instantiated thermometer reaches 145 degrees, 5 to 7 min per side.
