Lynn's Notes:

I've been wanting to try a sweet and spicy pork recipe for a while, so this is what I came up with, and it's delicious.

Directions

1
I bought some boneless sirloin pork chops and cut them into strips, trying to keep the strips approx. the same size. Season strips on both sides with Mrs. Dash original blend.
2
I like pepper bacon, but use your favorite. Wrap one slice of bacon around each strip, you may need to fasten the ends with toothpicks. Brown both sides of strips in a hot skillet.
3
Place some foil on the bottom of a bakers rack pan. Place browned strips on rack and spoon or brush salsa on top.
Tomatillo Sweet and spicy Salsa
4
Bake 325° for 30-40 min depending on thickness of strips. Remove from oven after 20 min. and spoon or brush on more salsa. Serve with remaining salsa. This is a dish that would be great for breakfast as well as any other meal.

Thank you all. Actually my ideas come to me at night in bed, lol, and I "cook" in my dreams alot, lol. I wanted to do something like this with a pork loin, but need to use stuff in my freezer first, so that's why I used the chops instead, they were so good, even had the last one cold this morning!! tommy actually told me they were deeeelicious, with the drawn out eeee's, lol, been a while since I've heard that, lol.

Hi Lynn, and I thought it was only me dreaming food. Maybe it's cause I'm planning on having a buffet party in 2 weeks. It will be my husbands 70th birthday. I'll take your word for it! Deeeelicious!!! Of course I'm making this yummy dish. I guess I can double this recipe as we're having 30 guests. Happy dreaming...coming up with fantastic food ideas.

Lynn, this sounds great! And that photo...oh my! I'd have to use plain bacon. I've never seen pepper bacon in these parts. I wonder why.
