These Swedish meat balls are delicious! Don't let the amount of ingredients intimidate you they're not that hard to follow these steps. I serve these over top of buttered egg noodles.

The picture was taken with the left overs because I forgot to take a picture before we settled down for dinner , so sorry the picture isn't the best ...LOL

Ingredients

eggs ; beaten
1/2 c
milk
2 c
dried bread crumbs
2 tsp
sea salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1 1/2 tsp
dill weed
1/4 tsp
ground allspice
1/4 tsp
ground nutmeg
1 c
chopped onion
2 Tbsp
butter
2 lb
ground beef
1/2 lb
ground pork

SAUCE

1/4 c
butter
1/2 c
flour
2 can(s)
(14.5oz ea.) beef broth
1 pt
heavy whipping cream
1/2 tsp
dill weed
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper

Step-By-Step

1In a large mixing bowl combine: eggs,milk,bread crumbs and seasonings ; set aside
2in a skillet saute onions in butter until soft ; Add to egg mixture ; crumble beef and pork over mixture and mix in well.Cover and refrigerate for 1 hr.
3Shape meat mixture into 1-1/2" balls , place on baking sheet.
Bake uncovered 350 deg. for 25-30 min. Remove from oven an place in 3 Qt. casserole dish.
4For Sauce: melt butter in sauce pan , stir in flour to make a soft paste , Gradually stir in broth and bring to a boil ; stirring constantly.
5Reduce heat and stir in cream , dill , salt and pepper.
If a thicker sauce is desired continue to cook for 10-15 min. longer,stirring occasionally.
6Pour over meat balls ; Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until heated through and bubbly.
