Ingredients

  • PORK & MARINADE:
  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce, low-sodium
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cooking sherry
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon asian chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, fresh, minced (or up to 1 t to taste)
  • LEMON SAUCE:
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/3 cup chicken broth, low-salt
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce, low-sodium
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoons corn starch
  • 2 teaspoons asian chili sauce
  • 4 scallions, sliced
  • OTHER:
  • 1/8 cup peanut oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, fresh, minced (or up to 1 t to taste)
  • white rice, cooked

How To Make spicy sweet & sour pork

  • Step 1
    Trim pork of all fat & then cut into julienne strips. Place pork in a bowl & add the marinade ingredients. Set aside for 2 1/2 hours or more.
  • Step 2
    Stir together sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Step 3
    Heat oil in wok & toss in the garlic & ginger for 30 seconds. Add the pork & stir-fry 2 minutes. Toss in the green onions briefly & then pour in the sauce. Stir & toss until sauce is heated through.
  • Step 4
    Serve over rice, if desired.
