My neighbor shared this recipe with me after I remarked on the wonderful smell coming from her kitchen. I have been making it for years for my family and for company. I always serve it with fresh tomatoes cut in wedges and hot garlic french bread.
1Boil potatoes with skins for 25 minutes. Drain, set aside. In a non-stick skillet brown sausage that has been cut into thirds. Remove to large dutch oven. Slice onions (wide), clean bell peppers and cut into wide circles. Mix together and brown in reserved drippings from sausage. Turning often, brown over high heat. Remove with slotted spoon and place over sausage. Peel potatoes, slice into quarters, brown, add garlic salt and lemon pepper. Add to mixture. Stir. Add 3/4 cup water, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 - 50 minutes.
