I was looking for a pork chop that was more than just pork cooked in a creamy white sauce. So, I played about in the test kitchen, and came up with this.

It’s good bone-in pork chops, in a dreamy sauce, slow cooked for several hours.

What could go wrong?

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

PLAN/PURCHASE

2
thick bone-in pork loin chops

THE SAUCE

3 Tbsp
grapeseed oil
2 Tbsp
tamari sauce
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp
lime juice, freshly squeezed
4 Tbsp
coconut sugar
4 Tbsp
ketchup
3 clove
garlic
2 tsp
ginger
salt, kosher variety, to taste
black pepper, freshly ground, to taste
sesame seeds, for garnish

Step-By-Step

1PREP/PREPARE
2Gather your ingredients.
3Salt and pepper both sides of the pork chops.
4Chef's Note: If you have time to brine the chops, go for it.
5Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl, and whisk to combine.
6Add a bit of grapeseed oil to a pan over medium-high heat.
7Add the chops.
8Allow them to sear for 2 minutes per side.
9Chef’s Tip: I like sear on each side for 1 minute, and then go back and sear each side a second time for an additional minute.
10Add the pork chops to your slow cooker.
11Pour the sauce on top.
12Cook on low for 4 hours.
13Chef’s Note: After 2 hours, open the slow cooker and flip the chops over.
14OPTIONAL STEP: After the four hours, I like to remove them from the slow cooker, and place them under the broiler for a few minutes… just to crisp them up a bit.
15PLATE/PRESENT
16Place on a nice plate, along with your favorite sides... For me that would be some yummy mashed golden potatoes. Enjoy
17Keep the faith, and keep cooking.
