This is a family and friend favorite. The meat falls right off the bone. It is finger licken good. Enjoy!

Ingredients For savory oven barbequed spare ribs

  • 1 1/2 c
    ketchup
  • 3-5 lb
    pork ribs - any type (i use baby back)
  • 4 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • flour to coat ribs
  • 1
    green pepper (diced)
  • 1 can
    pineapple tidbits or 1/2 20 oz. can chopped pineapple

How To Make savory oven barbequed spare ribs

  • 1
    Place all ingredients (except ribs) into a large heavy sauce pan and bring to a boil - stirring occassionally. (Cook until all ingredients are well blended.)

    Sprinkle the ribs with the flour.

    Place ribs in a large baking pan.

    Pour sauce over ribs and cover pan with aluminum foil.

    Bake ribs at 300 degrees for 3 - 3 1/2 hours.

    Skim fat off of sauce before serving. (I cut the ribs into 4-rib pieces.)
