Directions
Biscuit Baking Time!!!! Assemble all ingredients, I Love organization, preheat oven to 425* Place 4 cups of flour in large mixing bowl, whisk in baking powder, salt & Sugar stir well. Gradually cut in your shortening until flour becomes "gravely" slowly pour in your milk stirring well, with floured hands pour your dough out onto a well floured work surface....knead 15-20 times, roll out and cut your biscuits.place your freshly cut biscuits onto a ungreased baking pan, and get them ready for the oven, Bake at 425* for 15 minutes. While the biscuits are baking, lets brown some sausage!!!!! 2lbs of Jimmy Dean "Hot" into a large skillet and cook thoroughly (while browning I use my potato masher to press sausage) when browned, add 4 cups of milk and simmer for 5 minutes, add salt, pepper, Sage & red pepper flake simmer 5 more minutes...*DING* my biscuits are ready. Remove them from the oven and brush tops with melted butter. With your biscuits safely removed from the oven, gradually add your flour to your sausage mixture at low temp until your desired thickness is reached. You may need a little more milk or flour depending upon your "Style of Gravy"Open Biscuits on your plate....."Smother with Gravy" and ENJOY!!!!! "GRAVYLICIOUS" Big Bill Style.
