Sausage and Rice Casserole

This recipe is from one of Paula Deen's cookbooks. Yum! I sprinkle a little chopped fresh parsley on top before serving.

Ingredients

1 box
uncle ben's long grain & wild rice, 6 oz
1 lb
bulk pork sausage
2 small
onions, chopped
1 can(s)
mushroom pieces, 4 oz
1 can(s)
cream of mushroom soup, 10 1/2 oz
4 Tbsp
butter

Step-By-Step

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2Cook rice according to the directions on the box.
3In a heavy skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until thoroughly done; drain.
4Combine all ingredients except butter and pour into casserole dish. Dot top with butter.
5Bake until bubbly, about 25 minutes.
