Lisa's Notes:

We are sausage lovers.
I had these johnsonville beer brats and I really wanted to make Sandra Lees beer brats but no beer drinkers here and didnt feel like running to store. Perfect we had rootbeer. Wowwww what a flavor it brought to the sausage and peppers. I may go with the rootbeer for now on!

Directions

1
Drizzel a little olive oil in high heated grill pan.
salt & pepper each sausage.
2
Grill sausage on all sides 2 min per side, making sure theres nice grill marks.
Add all peppers and onions to pan, stir.
3
Add rootbeer over sausage and peppers,(enough to cover) bring to boil and turn heat down to simmer.
Simmer covered for about 20 min til sausage cooked thru and sauce reduced half way.
Enjoy on rolls.

I've made these, too, and they are wonderful! You can use all different kids of sodas, too.

I love the sweetness of the rootbeer. Another soda I use is champagne cola (goya)Very good flavor.

Ooh, that sounds good, too, Lisa! I've used, Sprite, Rootbeer, Ginger Ale, and Dr. Pepper so far. Wonder how orange would be?

I never would have thought root beer or colas! But, I've camped inside the Atlanta Speedway for a Nascar race, and our neighbor fixed this with real beer. Oh the smells from this are awesome!! I've tried this with a pale real beer and it's great! The alcohol cooks out.
Yes! I'll give this a try next with the root beer or cola!! :)
