Another one from WQED "One Skillet" cookbook...really good, really easy! Just put it in the crock pot and go about your business! This is one of my favorites!

Ingredients For pulled pork bbq

  • 3-5 lb
    pork roast, or mixed pork pcs (center cut & sirloin chops)
  • 4 c
    water
  • 3
    beef or chicken bouillon cubes
  • garlic powder, to taste
  • coarse or kosher salt, to taste
  • fresh ground black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz
    bottle chili sauce
  • 2-3 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1 Tbsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp
    dry mustard
  • 4-6 dash
    low sodium soy sauce
  • 2/3 c
    dark brown sugar
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp
    apple cider vinegar
  • 5 dash
    hot sauce
  • 12
    whole wheat kaiser rolls

How To Make pulled pork bbq

  • 1
    Place meat in slow cooker; add water and bouillon. Season with garlic powder, salt & pepper. Cook on "HIGH" 4-6 hrs or til meat is very tender. Remove meat; set aside to cool slightly. Discard liquid.

    Shred meat with fingers, discarding any fat or bones. Return meat to slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir well. Cook on "HIGH" for another 30-60 minutes longer. (If left unattended longer than 1 hr, set temperature to "LOW".)

    Stir well again and serve on whole wheat kaiser rolls.
