I loved pork hocks as a kid and my mom made the best. My dad liked them with sauerkraut, as I did. There aren't too many things I don't like.

Then I thought, I love bean soup and pork hocks so why not put the two together it turned out better than I could ever have thought. Just sooo good. This is a winner and it satisfied a childhood memory.

There was a little left so I froze it. It froze beautifully but I had to thaw a few days later. Loved it.
