Pork chops and sauerkraut casserole

- onion, diced
- 1 large
- granny smith apple, cored, diced

- caraway seeds

- potatoes, sliced into 1/4"dice

1Heat oven to 350. In lg cat iron skillet, melt butter over med-high heat. Season pork chops w/ salt and pepper. Brown chops on both sides.
2Remove chops to a plate. Add onion, apple and caraway seeds to skillet. Cook, stirring until onions are soft.
3Layer in skillet,1/2 the onion mix, chops, and potatoes. Season w/ salt and pepper. Top w/ remaining onion mix and sauerkraut. pour chicken broth over all. Cover tightly w/ foil. Bake 45 mins.
