The cook time and the amounts can vary it just depends on how thick and creamy you like you cheese sauce and how much sauce you actully want. I personally love a smooth creamy sauce and lots of it. There is no need to add salt to this recipe, the lil smokies have plenty.

Bring water to a boil and add shells, boil until tender drain. In a medium sauce pan over medium low heat bring milk to a simmer and start addinging your cheese one slice at a time, allow the cheese to melt then add another after a few minutes you have a lovely smooth cheese sauce, continue to stir to prevent scorching the milk. Add lil Smokies and shells, and mix. The kids will love it and so will you. No baking just a few min of stirring will be worth your time.
