izeker's barbecued ribs

This is an old recipe,that I think got it out of Hunt's Tomato Paste Cookbook. The family like when I'd make the ribs,plain white rice,cornbread. The whole house smell terrific on rib cooking day. I hope you enjoy these as well as we do.

Ingredients For izeker's barbecued ribs

  • 1
    6oz. can hunt's tomato paste
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 c
    vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    mollasses
  • 1 Tbsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1 Tbsp
    instant minced onions
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    liquid smoke flavoring **note to me izeker 1/2 to 1/4 teaspoon : )
  • 1 lg
    bottle masterpiece "honey teriyaki"
  • or "baby ray's barbecue sauce

How To Make izeker's barbecued ribs

    4 to 5 pounds spareribs cut into servings-size pieces. (SALT AND PEPPER) ** I DO SEASON BOTH SIDES THEN HIGH TEMPERATURE 450F ( Garlic Powder ) ** 15 minutes on each side. THEN SHUT OVEN DOWN TO 275 0r 300 for the rest of the cooking time...

    The next ingredients mix with whisk and use glass bowl---baste with a cooking brush on both sides and every 15 minutes brush each side and turn over...

    (1)Sprinkle ribs with salt,pepper,garlic powder on both side. (2)Place in shallow roasting pan. (3)Oven to 450F for 30 mins. turning ribs every 15 mins. (4) Pour off fat. (5) shut down oven temp. to 300. (6)Meanwhile,combine remaining ingredients in a glass bowl;whisk;brush ribs on both sides. (7) Turn once during baking time. (8) Ribs baste again. (9) I take the rest of sauce and pour on top of ribs 15 mins. before removing from oven.
