Golden Nugget's Baked Pork Champvallon

This is a recipe taken from a book published by Ford Motor Company in 1954. The recipe book was filled with famous eating places. This recipe is from the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas.

8 1/2
inch thick pork chops
2 lb
potatoes, sliced
1/2 lb
onions, sliced thin
salt and white pepper, to taste
chicken or beef broth

Directions Step-By-Step

Dip pork chops in flour and saute until brown. Mix potatoes and onion slices together.
Place half on the bottom of a baking pan, lay pork chops over them and then another layer of potatoes and onions.
Season with salt and white pepper. Add broth to level with the ingredients. Cover pan and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
