This recipe is a two-fer. You can pile them up on a plate, and serve them as an appetizer, or you can place them on a nice warm bed of rice and make a meal out of them.

They have just enough heat to get your attention, but not so much that you grab for the water.

So yummy.

Either way, you’re in for a tasty treat, and with that great sauce, and crunch, you won’t believe that they were baked.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Add all of the sauce ingredients to a small saucepan, over medium-low heat.
5
Stir the mixture, and bring it up to a light simmer.
6
To make the slurry, mix the arrowroot (or cornstarch), and water together in a small bowl.
7
Add the slurry to the saucepan, and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
8
Cover the saucepan, and then reduce the heat enough to just keep the sauce warm.

Shake off the excess, and then press into the panko breadcrumbs.
16
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, fitted with a wire rack.

Repeat for the remaining pork, and allow them to rest for 15 minutes.
18
Place a rack in the middle position, and preheat the oven to385f (195c).
19
Place the pork bites in the preheated oven, and allow them to bake until fully cooked and beginning to brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.
