Ingredients For chicken fried pork chops

6pork chops, 1/2 inch thick

1beaten egg

1 Tbspmilk

2/3 cfine dry bread or cracker crumbs

2 Tbspshortening

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 cwater
How To Make chicken fried pork chops

1Trim excess fat from chops. Combine beaten egg and milk. Dip pork chops in egg mixture, then into bread crumbs.

2In a heavy skillet, brown chops on both sides in hot shortening. Season with salt Add 1/4 cup water.

3Cover and cook over low heat for 30 to 45 minutes, or until tender. Lift chops occasionally to prevent sticking. For crisp coating, remove cover the last 15 minutes.
