My family loves Bratwurst and potluck potato casserole during summer picnics and get togethers. I combined two family favorites into this hearty rib sticking cold weather casserole.

Ingredients

1 lb
bratwurts
2 lb
o'brien hash brown potatoes, frozen
1/2 c
butter, melted
1 can(s)
condensed cheese soup
1/2 c
onion, chopped
8 oz
sour cream
2 c
sharp cheddar cheese, grated
2 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
black pepper
1/8 tsp
celery seed, ground
1
sleeves ritz crackers, crushed with 1/4 cup melted butter

Step-By-Step

1Remove bratwurst from casing and brown draining fat.
2Preheat oven to 350 degrees with oven rack placed in the center of the oven.
3Defrost potatoes. Combine in large mixing bowl with 1/2 cup melted butter, and seasoning.Add onion, soup, sour cream, cheese, garlic & spices and bratwurst. Blend thoroughly. Pour into buttered casserole. Cover with crumbs. Bake 45 minutes.
