Ingredients For apple smoked pork chops

    lean, bone-in pork chops
  • 1 lb
    applewood smoked bacon
  • 1/4 tsp
    each salt and pepper.
  • 1 lg
    granny smith apple, cored, diced.
  • 1 c
    apple cider
  • 2 tsp
    butter

How To Make apple smoked pork chops

    Heat oven to 350. Season pork chops w/ salt & pepper. Wrap each chop w/ 3 slices bacon per chop. Place in shallow baking dish. Bake for about 20 min.Bacon should be crisp. To make apple glaze, In lg skillet, over med-high heat, saute apple in 1 tsp butter until a little soft. Add cider, reduce heat to medium. Cook until liquid is reduced by half. Add butter, stir well. Pour glaze over cooked chops.
