Ingredients

crust
2 c
all purpose flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 c
soft butter
2 large
eggs
sausage & cheese filling
1 c
ricotta cheese
8 oz
mozzarella cheese, diced
3 oz
romano cheese, grated
2 large
eggs, beaten
2
links of italian sausage, removed from casings
1 lb
bulk pork sausage
2 oz
italian salami, diced
1 large
white onion, finely chopped
1/3 tsp
of each, dried oregano, dried basil
1 clove
garlic, minced or pressed
1/4 c
italian parsley, chopped
1
egg white, beaten
1/4 c
parmesan cheese, grated

Step-By-Step

1Combine the flour and baking powder in a mixing bowl. cut in the butter until well combined. Stir in the eggs. Mix into a dough. Set aside.

2Cook sausage in a skillet with the onions and garlic. Drain off fat. Set aside.

3Mix all the cheeses and the beaten eggs, stir in the sausage, add the salami, oregano basil and parsley.

4Roll out half the dough into a 12" circle. Place on a lightly oiled pie plate. Spread cheese filling on dough to within an inch from the edge.

5Roll out top crust. Fit over filling, sealing edges. Brush with egg white.

6Bake at 350^ for 30-35 minutes before serving.

7* a small piece of dough can be reserved for decorating the top crust. Cut into diamonds, circles, hearts or braids, or birds..and place on top crust with a bit of egg white on the underside to hold em in place while the pie bakes.
