15 Bean Soup with Ham

This is such a comforting soup, especially served with hot corn bread!

Ingredients

1
bag of 15 beans (20oz) -(raw beans)
5 large
scallions, chopped
2 c
ham, diced
1 can(s)
original rotel
32 oz
chicken broth
3 c
water
1/4 tsp
ground cumin
1/2 tsp
garlic powder
salt and pepper to taste

Step-By-Step

1Clean your raw beans.
2Put the clean raw beans in your crock-pot with the water, chicken broth and rotel.

cook for 5 hours on low.

If soaking them overnight the time will be reduced and then place all ingredients in for the total time until beans are tender. (ham, scallions...etc)
3Add your ham, scallions, garlic powder and cumin.

Turn on high for another 2 to 3 hours.
4Whip up some cornbread and enjoy your meal!
