Ingredients

  • 2 cans diced tomatoes with onion & garlic, undrained
  • 1/2 cup basil, fresh, chopped
  • 1/3 cup olive oil, extra-virgin
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 pound mozzarella cheese, fresh, cubed
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 box farfalle pasta
  • 1 cup prosciutto, thinly sliced & chopped

How To Make yummy farfalle dish

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, combine tomatoes with their juices, basil, oil, vinegar, garlic, onion & red pepper flakes; stir to combine; set aside 20 minutes for flavors to marry. Stir in cubed mozzarella & let sit 15 more minutes.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, bring large pot of water to boil; add 2 tbsp salt & pasta; cook according to directions, stirring occasionally. Drain well; add pasta to sauce along with prosciutto; toss to combine & to soften cheese. Season with salt & pepper. Can serve warm or cold.
