Betty's Story

I have used this recipe for years but now my husband and I arent as young as we use to be (imagine that) so we both joined the Weight Watcher points plus program on line.. It is a wonderful way to loose weight.
I have changed the original recipe to Weight Watchers and now just 8.2 points per serving.

Ingredients

1 oz
10 3/4 ounce cream of mushroom - 9 points
1/2 c
1 percent fat free milk - 1 point
1 c
frozen green peas - 3 points
2 can(s)
6 oz cans tuna in water, drained, flaked -9 points
2 c
hot cooked whole wheat egg noodles - 9 points
1/2 c
fat free shredded cheddar cheese - 2 points

Directions Step-By-Step

1
Stir soup, milk, peas, tuna and noodles and put in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until good and hot. Remove from oven and stir. Sprinkle with cheese and cook an additional 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
2
Total 33 points @ 4 servings = 8.2 Points Plus per serving

I am on Weight Watchers and at goal and so is my husband he has lost over 60 pounds. He doesn't go to meetings but I put him on it and all my recipes I have converted on line now it is great! I don't have to really change anything either but now I know how many points for everything. I notice you say the regular Cream of Mushroom Soup I use the lowfat(healthy) Cream of Mushroom Soup and that really saves the points too..going to make this tonight. I like to have meals I can put in the oven or slowcooker since I go on my walks at night.

Thanks Betty, I've just started Weight Watchers online. I have the barcode scanner and it's nice and I need to remember I have it when grocery shopping.

If you have an Iphone there is a free app that scans the bar code on food while in the grocery store and tells the POINTS...this makes it easier than ever. The app is called Diet Scan Calculator..

Healthy eating is difficult but if you can find conversions that are just a good as the original it becomes much easier to keep on track. Good luck with the Weight Watchers.
