Betty's StoryI have used this recipe for years but now my husband and I arent as young as we use to be (imagine that) so we both joined the Weight Watcher points plus program on line.. It is a wonderful way to loose weight.
I have changed the original recipe to Weight Watchers and now just 8.2 points per serving.
10 3/4 ounce cream of mushroom - 9 points
1 percent fat free milk - 1 point
frozen green peas - 3 points
6 oz cans tuna in water, drained, flaked -9 points
hot cooked whole wheat egg noodles - 9 points
fat free shredded cheddar cheese - 2 points
1Stir soup, milk, peas, tuna and noodles and put in a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until good and hot. Remove from oven and stir. Sprinkle with cheese and cook an additional 2 minutes or until cheese is melted.
2Total 33 points @ 4 servings = 8.2 Points Plus per serving

Betty I think Im gonna try this tonight. It sounds almost like my recipe with a change in the noodles & the cheese. This could be the new healthy version at my house. Thanks for the recipe!

My husband has high blood pressure so we have been trying to eat right, exercise and get it down so he can quit the meds. We also joined Weight Waters online. Fantastic program. I am taking the time to convert some of my recipes into "healthier dishes".

Healthy eating is difficult but if you can find conversions that are just a good as the original it becomes much easier to keep on track. Good luck with the Weight Watchers.

If you have an Iphone there is a free app that scans the bar code on food while in the grocery store and tells the POINTS...this makes it easier than ever. The app is called Diet Scan Calculator..

Thanks Betty, I've just started Weight Watchers online. I have the barcode scanner and it's nice and I need to remember I have it when grocery shopping.
