Spaghetti Bake

You can make this recipe in the morning (or night before), put in the refrigerator, and take out when you get home and bake.

Ingredients

1 - 7 oz
box of spaghetti
1 lb
ground beef
1/2 c
chopped onion
1 - 32 oz
jar (any brand) spaghetti sauce
1 - 4 oz
can sliced mushrooms, drained
2 tsp
sugar
1/2 tsp
salt
1 tsp
dried basil
1 c
cheddar cheese, shredded (or mozzerella)

Step-By-Step

1Brown hamburger and onion. Drain. In a large saucepan, add the hamburger, onions, sauce, mushrooms, sugar, basil and salt. Cover and simmer about 10 minutes. Meantime, cook spaghetti until tender and drain well.
2Mix the hamburger mixture together with the spaghetti, and put in medium size casserole, or cake pan. Cover and bake 30-40 minutes @ 350 degree oven until bubbly. Uncover, sprinkle with cheese and return to the oven and bake about 5 minutes longer.
